Subtle and not so subtle relationships in nature inspire me to no end. All life is connected, whether woven tightly within an ecosystem or connected through seasonal journeys of transformation. The natural word is something else.

Illustrated Sea-Run Fish Series (self directed)
This series was created to raise awareness to plight of the migratory or sea-run fish of the Gulf of Maine. These fish create a binding tether between land and sea with their seasonal migration upstream- often times dying after spawning, leaving their bodies to nourish the forests and animals inland.
These fish need our attention today- centuries of dam building, pollution and overfishing have severely harmed each one of the 12 sea-run fish that call the Gulf of Maine home.
